We are seeking a creative chef who wants to join a small dedicated team operating a cafe and function room.

Café Henkel is a 100% gluten free cafe that opened in May of last year. We recently became the first totally gluten free cafe to become accredited with Coeliac Australia and also the first accredited cafe to be delivering via UberEats. Since opening we have strived to provide a large and ever-changing variety of great tasting allergy friendly food for people with strict dietary needs. We are constantly trying to find new ways to create food that everyone can enjoy. We are soon to be opening a function room and are looking for a chef to join our team and work in our brand new kitchen.

The successful applicant will have experience as a head chef. They will be responsible for the kitchen's daily operations including creating new dishes, estimating costs and staying within budget, implementing health and safety procedures, monitoring and controlling stock levels and training staff. We are open from 7am to 3:00pm with day / evening functions starting soon. We specialize in breakfast and lunch and have a strong focus on cakes.

Creating gluten-free meals to our standards requires a lot of experimentation and creativity. This position will offer you artistic freedom that you are unlikely to find elsewhere.
