We currently have full time live on island Chef de Partie roles available that are an opportunity to do just that. Living in paradise, you will be paid $28.55 per hour and be eligible for subsidised living costs.

We are currently seeking the perfect fit for the final roles in our culinary team who will join our focused Kitchen Brigade to deliver a truly exceptional and unique food experiences. Boasting a grand palette of innovation; a strong banquet offering and five new restaurants and bars will present an eclectic array off gastronomic delights and extraordinary local flavour. Each experience enriched by an otherworldly setting of tropical rainforests or the crystal waters of the Coral Sea.

Your day to day
Great restaurant memories come from many places. The sights, sounds, scents and, importantly, the food. Working within the reimagined restaurants, bars and event offerings on the island, your passion for presentation and dedication to delivering flavour will complete each guest’s experience. By taking pride in your workspace, keeping your standards high, and giving our menu the benefit of your expertise, you’ll create some of our guests’ favourite culinary moments. The perfect complement to the unique personalised service provided by our world class front of house team.
To support our Director of Kitchens in bringing it all to life, we require strong Chef de Parties with the ability to inspire our colleagues, and who have the genuine care to support the Kitchen operation across service and our high performing team.
What we need from you

Our passionate foodies and experienced leaders must have:
- A formal Commercial Cookery Certification
- A minimum of 2 years experience as a talented Chef de Partie or be a strong Demi Chef ready to take your next step
- Demonstrated performance in a hotel or resort environment, preferably in a complex property with multiple restaurants, bars and banqueting department
- Strong skill base and experience in a la carte, banqueting and buffet food production
- Experience and capability to deliver on the expectations of a modern and contemporary guest experience
- Possess great attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills
- Superior communication skills
- A working knowledge and understanding of HACCP procedures
Flexibility to work a varied roster including, late evenings, weekends and public holidays in order to support the operation alongside holding Australian work rights is also a must.
