FIFO Chef opportunities on a 2 and 1 roster for a major shutdown in South Australian (Approx. 3 months)

At Hays Specialist Recruitment we play a major role in supporting several businesses who manage remote camp sites in South Australia. Our clients have developed service solutions for remote sites to meet its clients' needs for comfort, safety and well-being at each stage of their projects.

Your new role

Due to significant major shutdowns, we have opportunities for Qualified Chef's with bulk catering experience to help with ongoing immediate needs. We supply staff to sites as small as 100 bed campsites up to 3000 bed campsites.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be a fully qualified chef that holds a minimum qualification of Certificate iii in Commercial Cookery and who is committed to producing high quality meals, has excellent time management skills, bulk catering experience and is passionate about food. An ability to fly out of Adelaide is essential as all roles are South Australian based and due to sometimes short notice candidates who reside in Adelaide are preferred.

It will be highly advantageous if you have a current police check but if you don't you must be willing to get one before you can be placed on site. All candidates have to complete a full pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening and candidates with proven FIFO experience are encouraged to apply.

If you are still completing your Chef training or are newly qualified we also have opportunities for experienced Kitchen Hands on site.

What you'll get in return

Excellent pay and conditions on a remote mining camp site. This is an opportunity to do Fly In, Fly Out shifts of 1-2 weeks at a time in remote locations. All flights, accommodation and food is paid for while you are away on site.
