| APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED FOR CASUAL COOK (12 -32 HOURS)Williamson's FoodWorks has an exciting opportunity available for a self-motivated individual to join our team as a Cook to be part of our Kitchen team.The hands on role will be to service our Kitchen and Deli Department at our Gisborne Store. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals by constantly reviewing our current processes to increase productivity.We are looking for a skilled Cook to prepare delicious meals according to recipes and menus. The right person will cook dishes that will delight our customers.The duties and responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to:Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc)Cook food in various utensils, ovens and grillersEnsure great presentation of all dishesEnsue all food and other items are stored properlyMaintain vigilant control of stock quality with regards to shrinkageEnsure correct ordering, receiving, unloading, storage, rotation of merchandise and building of displaysControl rotation of stock in all areas of the kitchen and Deli DepartmentsManage time to achieve results within deadlinesHelp to build the business, minimising loss and maintain accurate pricingPractice companies Policies and Procedures including Food Safety Handling ProceduresThe ideal candidate will have the following:Proven experience as a cookKnowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc)Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with internal and external customersExcellent organisational skills and strong problem solving abilityExcellent multi-tasking skillsBe physically capable of undertaking substantial lifting and being on your feet for long periods of timesAttention to detailApplicants will need to be willing and able to work Casual flexible hours (12 -32 hours) across 7 days a week. Applicants must have a good attitude and be willing to be a team player and complete a variety of tasks. You will have a willingness to learn and be motivated and have high energy levels with a desire to make a positive impact on the overall business. You must be able to follow instructions in cooking and delivering well prepared meals.
