ABOUT THE ROLE

An exciting opportunity has become available for a suitably qualified and experienced Service Contracts Officer.

The position ensures the effective control of cleaning and service contractors by administering, coordinating, auditing and reporting, of service contracts and Partnership Agreements which are under the control of the contracts area, Contracts and Grounds, Campus Services Division.

The position will coordinate and monitor the performance of contractors engaged to perform work on major contracts including cleaning, waste, sanitary, pest control services, grounds services and other service contracts.

Contracts and Grounds are responsible for the planning and delivery of services to maintain grounds, clean physical spaces and manage contracts including consumer hospitality and waste and cleaning arrangements.

Campus Services Division is part of the portfolio of the Chief Operating Officer with direct responsibility for engaging with the University community and suppliers to provide excellent and efficient services including Security Services, Strategic Procurement, Campus Logistics, Hospitality Services, Parking and Transport, Contracts and Grounds, Organisational Sustainability and University Events.

This will include:

  • Assisting the Service Contracts Team Leader (Contracts and Grounds) ensuring services are provided to the specifications detailed in the relevant Contracts and Partnership Agreements, meeting the Partnership Agreement document in an effective and timely manner.
  • Responsibility for entering work requests on the Division's work request database (Archibus), ensuring accurate data is transformed into relevant and timely information to assist the decision making process of the Contracts and Grounds Group within Campus Services.
  • Efficient and prompt customer and internal support services taking ownership of issues and displaying overt internal and external customer focus.
  • Responsibility for administering all Service Contracts and Partnership Agreements on your campus to ensure a consistent service. Specific service contracts include: cleaning, waste, sanitary services, grounds, pest control and other related facility maintenance services
  • Ensuring the implementation of all University policies that relate to the areas for which the position is responsible, in particular, those relating to equal opportunity, occupational health and safety, and risk management.


ABOUT YOU

  • Completion of Year 12 or relevant experience/qualifications within the area of facility management.
  • Relevant facility/contract administration experience in the area of facilities management/property management in particular the service contracts listed under accountabilities.
  • Significant and relevant people interaction and customer service experience
  • Relevant experience within maintenance and operations areas including environmental services within a similar like facility/organisation
