Our Client is a global leader in the development and manufacturer of life saving vaccines. They employ over 11,000 staff in more than 27 countries worldwide.

With over 90 years experience in medicine and human health they are a highly respected company and securing employment within the company is highly sought after.

Due to the new production season of flu vaccines for the Northern Hemisphere market, we are now recruiting for highly motivated production workers to commit for a 7-8 month period working in the Company's head office in Parkville (Melbourne).

The position will teach you a wide range of skills that you may use in future career opportunities.

Some of the key responsibilities of this position are:

  • Repetitive manual handling of up to 15kg
  • Basic machine operation
  • Daily cleaning of equipment and work environment
  • Maintaining a high level of hygiene and clean standards
  • Comfortable with following repetitive gowning procedures
  • Completion of batch documentation
  • Preparation of equipment used in the process, this includes intermediate bottles, fittings, filters and machine parts. This will include using automated and manual washing equipment
  • Routine cleaning of plant and production work areas
  • Handling of eggs

To be considered for these roles you will need to meet the following criteria and have the following skills and attributes:

  • Excellent Communication
  • Well presented, Clean Safety Boots and protective clothing
  • Must be able to commence early November 2018 and be able to commit for a 7 to 8 month period (applicants with visa restrictions will not be considered)
  • Must have a positive attitude towards work and take direction from supervisors
  • The position will require you to be available for 36-40 hours per week as a minimum. Overtime, Afternoon shift and weekend work will most likely be required.
  • Perform your daily duties consistent with Company values
  • Must be reliable and trustworthy
  • Must have Flu Vaccination prior to beginning employment
  • Must not have Egg Allergies
  • Must not be Pregnant during work in the Influenza Production department
  • Must be able to pass a national police check
  • Prior manufacturing/production experience favourable
