The Position:  

This unique opportunity encompasses the following responsibilities, working with frail aged clients over 65 years of age in their homes undertaking:

• Domestic assistance tasks such as: vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, changing beds etc.
• Personal Care: showering, grooming, dressing and shopping for clients
• Respite Care: providing respite for Primary Carers, caring for clients whilst carer has a break
• Monitor wellbeing of clients and provide feedback to a Team Leader

What you need: 

•  Certificate III qualification, (Aged Care, Home and Community Care or Cert III Individual Support)
• Current Victorian Drivers Licence and own roadworthy vehicle
• Experience working with elderly clients and understanding of the issues faced by elderly people and people with disabilities living at home
• Excellent Communication skills to negotiate with clients and their families
• Demonstrated ability to work with people from different cultural and health and disability backgrounds
• Preferred First Aid and updated CPR
• Availability to work at least 4 days per week (Monday to Friday)

Salary range: $34.15 Band 2A per hour (plus superannuation)
