Project Accountant
Permanent Position


Alstom seeks an experienced, enthusiastic Project Accountant to join our business on a permanent basis. In this role, you will be the key financial partner for the project team delivering signalling projects around Australia.

Key Responsibilities for this Role Include:

  • Lead the controlling and financial reporting.
  • Ensure project accounting is in accordance with company and customer guidelines and assist with milestone definition and revenue recognition.
  • Produce all financial reporting for the project (forecast cash flow, revenue gross margin etc).
  • Organise and run project reviews with all necessary stakeholders.
  • Analyse the execution of performance and propose action plans to improve contract margin and cash profile as well as corrective action plans to mitigate risk.
  • Partner with project teams to ensure you are seen as their trusted advisor.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required Includes:

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance/Commerce or another related discipline.
  • Deep understanding of financial management principles and accountability for project financials.
  • Good understanding of project management practices and demonstrated commercial acumen.
  • Previous experience working in a construction or engineering projects.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel are critical, previous experience using SAP would be an advantage
