A short-term assignment for a strong Accounts Officer is available within a department of the government.

Your new company
A Government department is seeking an experienced accounts clerk to support their finance team whilst a member of staff is away on a period of leave.

Your new role
Reporting to the office manager, you will be responsible for:

  • End-to-end Accounts Payable function
  • Payroll processing
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist in the creation of reports for month-end reporting
  • Adhoc duties where required


What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience in a similar Accounts clerk generalist role under Australian laws and regulations
  • Understanding of payroll
  • MUST HAVE: TRIM and Oracle experience
  • Experience with Procurement is highly desirable
  • Intermediate excel skills (vlook-ups and pivot tables)
  • Demonstrated the ability to work as a part of a team and autonomously with limited guidance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Adaptable, reliable and efficient
