Laurent Bakery Group manufactures and distributes premium range of European breads, cakes and baked goods directly through its 16 retail stores, nationally via a large network of food service distributors and to a growing Asian export market.

Our business is expanding and with this comes great career opportunities. We are currently seeking an outstanding Systems Engineer for our Melbourne location, to help build, maintain and monitor the business's infrastructure and system.

We have initiated an extensive technology refresh program; you will get an opportunity to work on the latest technology stack currently available.

We are looking for drive and passion with someone who is hardworking and reliable.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure and maintain wide array of network infrastructure sub systems including structured and optical cables
  • Install, configure and maintain Server and storage hardware, server operating systems (Windows, Linux)
  • Support for Enterprise applications
  • Undertake recovery action in the event of a system failure
  • Establish and control system access and security levels
  • Provide training and support for system software
  • Implement and co-ordinate housekeeping procedures, including system back-ups, setting up user accounts, monitoring file access etc.
  • Plan and implement maintenance and upgrades for system software and hardware
  • Managing the help desk and associated trouble tickets

We are looking for:

  • Strong knowledge and handS on experience on routing and switching
  • Field level experience in structured and optical cabling
  • Excellent service provider relationship building skills
  • Prior knowledge of industrial communication devices and associated technologies
  • Knowledge of Windows operating systems, server storage, and storage networking
  • Excellent commercial knowledge of Windows server AD, DNS, DHCP
  • Knowledge of Server hardware, and data centre hardware
  • Knowledge and experience in administration, supervision, delegation and process re-engineering
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • The ability to work under pressure
  • 24x7 environment with rotating and weekend shifts.
  • Driver's Licence essential
  • Physically fit for installation and commissioning of network equipment
