HR Business Partner

We are seeking an HR Business Partner, based in our Melbourne office, to join our Pacific HR team. As the strategic partner and advisor on all human capital matters to your client groups located across Australia, you will be responsible for the implementation of solutions and strategies that support the Company’s people and business plans.

Reporting to the Pacific HR Manager located in Sydney, you will be able to work independently and with minimal supervision.

Key areas of responsibility in this role include:

  • The delivery of human capital strategies, across multiple HR disciplines, for your client groups, supporting both the business and HR strategy;
  • Lead human capital change initiatives, ensuring the best outcomes for both the organisation and colleagues;
  • Advise your client groups on all HR strategic matters including talent acquisition and retention, promotion, reward and recognition;
  • Support the business on all talent management programmes including executive and leadership development, performance management, succession planning, coaching, training, career development and diversity and inclusion initiatives;
  • Advise clients about the importance of colleague engagement and drive actions to improve this in collaboration with the business.
  • Manage employee relations issues to a successful conclusion with minimal operational, reputational or financial risk:
  • Provide advice and support to client groups, ensuring the correct application and compliance to all HR related legislative requirements;
  • Provide coaching and support to senior managers to enable them to build their own capability as leaders and managers;
  • Actively play a role in the leadership teams

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Five to ten years of successful generalist HR experience with at least three years’ experience in management and/or strategic leadership;
  • Extensive HR experience including time as a BP to senior or mid-level clients;
  • Experience across the range of HR disciplines with a strong working knowledge of relevant legislation;
  • Evidence of delivery of practical HR solutions to critical business issues;
  • Strong consulting, project management, coaching and leadership skills
  • Influencing and client management skills;
  • Intellectual rigor and strong analytical skills;
  • Personal credibility;
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship management skills
