We have an opportunity for a reliable and experienced Grounds worker to join our Chadstone team on a full time basis. This position requires experience in the open space mowing and grounds / horticultural maintenance field.
The Grounds Worker will be responsible for:
Undertaking grounds and garden maintenance including the operation of various ride-on mowers, brush cutters, edgers, blowers and spraying equipment in high profile parks/open space.
Working productively within a team environment
Pruning, weeding, planting and mulching
Ensuring works are completed to timeframes and to within the scope of the contract
Basic reporting including navigation of various smartphone apps to complete inspections and hazard identification
Essential requirements for the role include:
Previous experience with parks and gardens maintenance
Hold a manual drivers licence
Be mechanically minded
Excellent customer service focus and interpersonal skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong safety and environmental focus and understanding.
The successful candidate will take pride in their work, have an excellent work ethic and be highly motivated. Potential candidates must be available to undertake a pre-employment medical assessment and a driving assessment.
