Job Details

Doing Front Desk and/or Night Audit functions in a hotel accommodation building in Melbourne CBD. Able to work both day and night shifts.

The role of the Front Desk Receptionist is more than just answering phone calls and taking messages.This position requires someone with the ability to

  • work with a small team, and liaise closely with the housekeeping and maintenance departments,
  • deal directly with guests from various cultures,
  • process check-in and check-out of rooms accurately and efficiently,
  • take reservations enquiries and covert to sales,
  • possess in depth local knowledge and understanding of popular attractions and places of interest to assist with tour bookings and enquiries,
  • process the end of day reconciliations and reports,
  • ensure records are maintained in line with our company procedures.

Essential Requirements

  • Exceptional communication and organizational skill
  • Efficient time management skills and the ability to multi task
  • Some sales experience and intermediate computer skills
  • Previous experience in dealing with unacceptable behavior, dispute resolution and emergency procedures would be considered an advantage.

We have part time positions available. Some flexibility will be required to work weekends, late/early shifts and public/school holidays.
