About the company:

Our client is an Australian owned company that is now distributing and growing sizably internationally. They are rapidly growing with a comprehensive range of dairy products, such as milk, cheese, and dry powder products.

About the role:

An opportunity currently exists for a Food Science Graduate to join the QA/QC team based in Melbourne on a contract basis.

Reporting to the QA Supervisor, the responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to the following:

• Routine QC testing

• Assisting in managing customer complaints including investigation of the root cause of non-conformity of in-coming materials, in-process products and finished products

• Investigating out of specification results, including packaging, raw materials, finished products or environmental results

• Filing and maintaining production records

• General housekeeping duties of laboratory

This position is rotational between day, afternoon and night shift. Candidates MUST be flexible to work across all shifts.

Skills & experience:

To be successful for this role, you will possess the following:

• Minimum Tertiary Qualification in Food Science

• Proven experience within a Food organisation in a related role is highly desirable

• GMP &/or HACCP qualifications preferred

• Having excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and time management skills

• Possess excellent problem solving skills

• Laboratory experience in the dairy-related or food environment preferred

You must possess initiative, enthusiasm and come with excellent Quality systems knowledge in Food manufacturing and a willingness to progress within the company.
