An SQF accredited Australian owned food manufacturing company supplying the food service industry with a range of hot and cold filled premium range sauces. We have been established for over 25 years and are based in Thomastown, Victoria.

An exciting opportunity has arisen due to continual strong growth for a Factory Cook and Process workers based at our Thomastown facility.

The ideal candidates should have working experience in high volume factory production of relishes and sauces.

Duties & responsibilities

• They should be able to read work orders, recipes, and formulas to determine cooking times and temperatures, and ingredient specifications.
• The role is expected to attend to, operate, and control equipment such as large 1000 litre steam heated kettles, and blending tanks to cook ingredients or prepare products for further processing. Also experience in operating packing machines.
• They need to be able to work to a schedule, with time management of tasks a priority.
• The candidates should be able to work independently, in a safety and quality conscious manner, within a small team and ability to work on either day or afternoon shifts is also required.
• They need to have a good understanding of GMP and Haccp requirements including CCPs and CQPs.
• Ensure adherence to occupational Health and safety practices and procedures

Your experience

• Minimum 2-year track record of cooking or machine operations in a FMCG / Food environment
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Passionate about process improvements
• Basic computer literacy would be well regarded.
• Current Forklift license with experience would be an advantage
