We are currently recruiting for an experienced carpenter to work onsite across a number of significant Canberra corporate offices for one of our key clients.

Working closely with a dedicated onsite Facilities Manager and with the backing from a highly experienced Trades Services team, you will have the opportunity to undertake a variety of general/handyman works and develop your career in an expanding, global property services business.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Carry out scheduled programmed maintenance tasks as per task sheet
• Be able to carry out general repairs to property in a timely and professional manner
• Be competent in all areas of general maintenance such as, but not limited to basic carpentry, plastering, patching, painting, install and maintenance of door hardware etc.
• Have a sound knowledge and be competent in the use of basic hand and power tools
• Basic safety knowledge related to the transportation of tools, materials and work pieces in and around work sites and work areas;
• Competency with basic HSSE requirements and associated paper work (Workcover Standards)
• Good interpersonal skills with strong cross trade communications
• Ability to communicate well with key stakeholders.

About You:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in the general maintenance industry
• Experience working within a commercial property/building environment
• White card compulsory
• EWP/working at heights desirable but not essential
• Able to perform duties autonomously, maintaining high standards in both Safety and Quality.
