Our client is a accounting practice that provides a broad range of accounting, bookkeeping and financial services to a wide selection of clients including small, medium and large enterprises and privately owned arrangements across various entities, and individuals across a large number of industry sectors

The Opportunity

This highly reputable accounting practice is seeking a motivated Bookkeeper to provide their clients with a high standard of service and quality financial reporting. In this role you will servicing a portfolio of various clients, joining a supportive and collaborative team your key responsibilities will include:

This is a client facing role, and you will have approximately 12 clients to manage with potential to grow.

  • Cashflow - maintain cashflow and daily reporting
  • Payroll - calculation of leave accruals, prepare and review payroll, Superannuation payments, payroll tax, WorkCover, calculations for terminations etc.
  • Creditors - dealing with supplier enquiries, reconciliations, arranging payment
  • Debtors - review outstanding debtors and repot to managements, receipt of fund and reconciliation of debtors
  • Budgets - preparing budgets, reporting on performance against forecasts and budgets
  • Banking - managing transactions, set-up of Payroll batch processing and administering payments of suppliers
  • Reporting - weekly cashflow and management reports, monthly month end procedures (including P&L), balance sheet, payroll tax and superannuation
  • Quarterly - preparation and lodgement of BAS statements

About You

  • 5 + years experience as a Bookkeeper in an Accounting Practice
  • Advanced payroll knowledge
  • Solid understanding of financial statements, BAS returns and bank reconciliations
  • High degree of skills and accuracy in financial reporting
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A positive attitude and a great willingness to learn
  • Experience in using MYOB, Quickbooks and Xero
