Accounts Officer

We work closely with niche OEMs and Aftermarket in the Transport, Marine, Industrial Equipment and Aviation markets. Our friendly Finance department requires an experienced Accounts Officer to join our team.

This position will report into our Administration Manager and work alongside our Finance Accountant where you'll be responsible for debtor and credit management.

The role

• Reconciliation of accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Researching and resolving invoice discrepancies
• Preparing daily/weekly aged debtor reports
• Checking, entering and processing general expenses including corporate credit cards
• Ensure all weekly account payments are facilitated.
• Ensure all daily receivables are facilitated.
• Liaise with internal staff regarding debtors and follow up regarding their account
• Key contact for supplier queries and conduct credit checks for new customers
• General adhoc office administration as required
• Updating and maintaining excel spreadsheets

Skills and expertise

• Relevant qualification in accounting/ bookkeeping
• Minimum of two years prior experience within AP/AR role
• Experience working with Sage ERP X3 or similar tier 2 ERP system preferred but not essential
• Know how to accurately reconcile accounts and statements
• Be a team player who strives to achieve results and takes pride in their work
• Have excellent telephone manner and written communication skills
• An eye for detail and accuracy is paramount
