  • Full-time permanent position to be filled ASAP.

We are assisting one of Australia's leading suppliers of the quality swimming pool and spa products in their search for a Sales Representative to support their Melbourne team.

Our client specialises in the design, production and distribution of systems and components for swimming pools —both private and public— and for a range of sectors including the wellness industry, through an extensive network of branches and sales offices across the world. The company distributes products in over 170 countries and operates more than 100 sales offices and branches located across 30 countries.


Responsibilities

- Building relationships with key accounts by visiting and contacting clients according to needs.
- Developing a strategic plan for dealing with each trade customer, existing and prospective.
- Noting potential new trade customers when visiting any area and taking follow-up action.
- Identifying all product features and advantages and understanding how to match these to customer's needs and present them to maximum advantage.
- Arranging quotations, delivering quotations, carrying out sales presentations and closing sales.
- Conducting product training sessions and other relationship-building activities with trade customers & carrying out product demonstrations in a working environment.
- Preparing plans and budgets for territory.
- Attending and actively participating in meetings of the sales team and training programs.
- Setting up in-store displays and checking regularly to ensure these are properly maintained for maximum impact.
- Organising and overseeing trade shows, retail exhibitions and other promotional activities and personally participating in these.
- Reviewing sales figures and trends; planning and implementing any corrective action required.



Your Profile

- Ability to build relationships with key accounts.
- 5 years' + experience in sales, preferably in the field.
- Knowledge of successful sales and marketing strategies.
- High level of interpersonal, negotiation and liaison skills.
- Technical competence & willingness to learn.
- Strong achievement drive and a demonstrated personal commitment to achieving sales targets.
- Ability to operate and manage a territory to achieve sales budgets and overall marketing objectives.
- Team player with the ability to achieve team goals as well as personal goals.



This position enables you to work as part of a collaborative sales team in a dynamic & supportive environment and to gain relevant sales experience. Training on both their customised data system and on technical knowledge will be provided by our client.
