My client is a designer and reseller of lubrication and fluid management equipment. With distribution across Australia and an upturn in the market, they are looking to add to their operation with a technical sales business development manager.
Role
The advanced technical nature of the products requires that a strong solutions sales process and outlook is required to ensure the desired level of results.
You must strive to constantly be on the look-out for new business and potential clients. However, a strong emphasis is placed on nurturing existing accounts and up selling the products and services.
You will be required to travel frequently and to play a hands-on role in servicing and fostering relationships with stakeholders.
Broadly, your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass:
- Managing a portfolio of dealers and distributors
- Assist in developing a structure for distribution in your respective market
- Implement strategies to achieve sales plans
- Focus on expansion of business to existing distributors/customers
- Utilize current distribution channels in the course of developing new business
- Promote products/ services amongst distribution partners and customers
- Provide customers with technical support and ensure customer information is up to date
- and accurate
- Report on current market trends including opportunities for market expansion (new
- channels) and competitor activity/market intelligence
Experience Required
- Direct sales exposure of fluid management or lubrication equipment
- Market contacts within the mining, transport, industrial, engineering sectors across VIC
- Exposure dealing with distributors, end users as well as OEM’s
- Technical solution sales approach
Salary Package
- Base $70k - $80k
