My client is a designer and reseller of lubrication and fluid management equipment. With distribution across Australia and an upturn in the market, they are looking to add to their operation with a technical sales business development manager.

Role

The advanced technical nature of the products requires that a strong solutions sales process and outlook is required to ensure the desired level of results.

You must strive to constantly be on the look-out for new business and potential clients. However, a strong emphasis is placed on nurturing existing accounts and up selling the products and services.

You will be required to travel frequently and to play a hands-on role in servicing and fostering relationships with stakeholders.

Broadly, your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass:

• Managing a portfolio of dealers and distributors
• Assist in developing a structure for distribution in your respective market
• Implement strategies to achieve sales plans
• Focus on expansion of business to existing distributors/customers
• Utilize current distribution channels in the course of developing new business
• Promote products/ services amongst distribution partners and customers
• Provide customers with technical support and ensure customer information is up to date
• and accurate
• Report on current market trends including opportunities for market expansion (new
• channels) and competitor activity/market intelligence

Experience Required

• Direct sales exposure of fluid management or lubrication equipment
• Market contacts within the mining, transport, industrial, engineering sectors across VIC
• Exposure dealing with distributors, end users as well as OEM’s
• Technical solution sales approach

Salary Package

• Base $70k - $80k
• Super
• Car or Allowance
• Tools of the trade
• Commissions
