Berendsen provides a one-stop solution for users of hydraulic equipment, providing design and manufacture of components and systems as well as repair and maintenance of cylinders, pumps and installed systems.

Our Melbourne branch has expanded rapidly over two consecutive years and has recently invested in new workshop equipment that sets the branch apart as one of the most well rounded hydraulic repair facilities in the region.

Our branch manager is looking for a professional, results-focused Sales Engineer to join our highly accomplished technical team in Melbourne, to develop and implement plans to penetrate key target sectors and grow the business within our well-established client base.

Your accountabilities

  • Conducting industry research in target sectors
  • Cold calling potential new clients to develop leads and build new relationships
  • Developing business plans to source new revenue streams
  • Generating new sales opportunities and creating proposals, presentations and sales quotations
  • Managing existing client relationships through a structured call plan
  • Preparing sales budgets
  • Planning and reporting activities and opportunities in the company’s CRM system
  • Reporting to management regarding sales activities and business development

To be suited to this role you will ideally have the following;

  • Front-line sales experience in the Manufacturing and or Civil/Construction sectors.
  • Experience with Salesforce or another CRM platforms
  • Mechanical Engineering Degree or Diploma, or relevant Hydraulic Trades experience
  • Fluid power industry experience is preferred but is not essential
  • Drive and initiative
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Professional writing and presentation skills
