As a Sales Consultant, your primary objectives are to proactively develop sales opportunities and convert them into sales.

As a Sales Consultant you will be based in our Richmond Office and will report directly to the General Manager, you will be focused on working on generating leads and converting these to sales.

Face-to-face selling either in person or via video conferencing is key to success in this position, as is the ability to generate interest over the phone and phone etiquette. This position is focused on selling telemetry to fleets throughout Australia. CRM, sales collateral and industry events are key resources for you to use in your selling duties and you will work very closely with the General Manger to develop successful sales strategies.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Business to business sales experience is essential, with a communications sales background preferred.
  • Must be quickly able to grasp new products and be comfortable talking on a technical level.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have success in working well in small teams.

Key Accountabilities

  • Engage in face to face selling opportunities otherwise online demonstrations at every available opportunity
  • Work to develop networks within our industry and other related industries
  • Lead generation
  • Cold Calling
  • Utilise the CRM to capture all sales information you develop.
  • Attend weekly sales and planning meetings with the General Manager.
  • Promptly follow up all leads
  • You will be responsible for writing proposals, quotes and emails for your prospects

Proactively manage the installation process for the sales that you bring in, with the assistance of our Technical Manager.

  • Accurately complete sales administration paperwork to arrange prompt completion of the sales process.
  • Aftercare and onboarding of new customers, with relevant training, and login access given.
  • Engage in regular communications with staff in a manner that promotes the teamwork required for you to be a successful member of the team.
  • Represent in the professional image that expects. This includes dressing professionally when visiting customers, phone manners and in all other forms of written communication.
