About the role

Reporting to a very dynamic, passionate and strategic CEO, the primary responsibility of this position will be to proactively manage the corporately owned and franchised retail network nationally. In addition to this you will manage and drive a team of business development managers across Victoria and South Australia who oversee the ambassador programme across elite sport and health professional channels.

Sitting as a key part of the senior leadership team this role will play an integral part in the execution of the three year national retail expansion plan.

To be successful within this role you must be able to work in a fast paced competitive but highly consultative retail environment. You must be a strong proven people leader, have a genuine passion for training and development of retail store staff and track record of delivering substantial revenue and margin growth within big box retail.

Duties

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies
  • Lead national sales teams to achieve targets
  • Establish productive and professional relationships with all sales staff, including improvement in sales training standards
  • Maintain strong cross-functional relationships with all internal division in order to support corporate objectives
  • Further develop, monitor and analyse performance metrics and take action on improvements
  • Provide input to sales forecasting process
  • Desire & ability to fully understand and appreciate product categories & competitors
  • Monitor Industry trends, both in Australia & overseas
  • Liaise with marketing and product development to achieve sales goals
  • Overall responsibility for channel management, including elite athletes & health professionals
  • Leadership in the Growth Strategy program
  • Leadership & building strong deliverables with digital marketing team & retail operations

Skills and Experience

  • Extreme motivation and drive for sales growth
  • Experience at managing multi-site Retail Sales Team
  • Ability to understand, analyse and drive sales and performance metrics
  • Strong customer service attitude, including key account management
  • Excellent retail negotiation skills
  • Strong communication (verbal & written) and team management skills
  • Analytical skills with a problem solving attitude
  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant retail sales, marketing & people management
  • Minimum of 5-7 years multi-site retail management experience
