MAINTENANCE OFFICER

This is a great opportunity for a Maintenance Officer to undertake maintenance, including painting in mecwacare’sresidential aged care facilities. Reporting to the Facility Manager, this role assists in maintaining the building, plant, equipment and grounds maintenance activity that support the organisaiton’s core business pursuits and quality service outcomes.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Demonstrated skills in general facility maintenance with knowledge/understanding of all building services systems.
• Knowledge and skills working with plant and equipment.
• Demonstrated skills in building maintenance, painting, carpentry and general grounds maintenance.
• Commitment to customer service and aged/ disability care services.
• Understanding of OHS requirements and responsibilities and demonstrated knowledge of manual handling / plant requirements.
• A current Victorian driver’s licence.
• Well-developed verbal, written and interpersonal skills with the ability to work autonomously
• Ability to work with staff and contractors
