A unique opportunity has become available for a highly motivated and dedicated customer service orientated individual who has a high attention to detail and a passion for mechanical technology to join our Melbourne Branch in the role of Internal Sales

About the Role

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for providing a professional, prompt and knowledgeable response to incoming product sales enquiries from the company’s diverse, customer base. With on the job training, you will become proficient in the specifications of the product lines that we supply to the market. You will prepare sales quotations for the company’s customers and will proactively follow them up to a successful conclusion. You will be required to process a variety of transactions using the company’s ERP System, as well as receipt, put-away, pick, pack and dispatch goods from the company’s warehouse. A portion of your time will also be dedicated to the proactive development of new sales leads for the company.

To be suited to this role you will ideally have the following skills or experience;

• Excellent communication skills and high attention to detail are essential
• Strong organisational skills, ability to multi task.
• You must be computer literate. Experience processing transactions on ERP systems will be advantageous
• You must have a genuine interest in and an aptitude for mechanical technology and engineering although formal qualifications in this area are not an essential requirement, but would be highly regarded.
• Previous internal sales experience is advantageous
• Experience in the fluid power industry is also advantageous
• High competence in MS Office Suite of products
• Graduate engineers will be considered for this position
