A position is now available within the Department of Nutrition & Food Services for a Food Service Kitchen Hand. The position is available on a casual basis. Duties include assisting with food production, distribution, food storage and kitchen cleaning duties to ensure patients receive high quality meals in a timely and accurate manner. The position may involve cleaning and sanitising the kitchen area and equipment, washing pots and dishes, assisting with food preparation and stock levels, assisting on the plating line and other duties as required.
This role is suitable for a person who possesses good communication skills and is able to work as part of a team. The successful applicant should be competent in spoken and written English, with a pleasant and respectful manner and be willing to undertake a variety of tasks as needed. Computer skills are also desirable.
