As a key member of our team you will represent our friendly and professional service philosophy of ‘Feel Valued’ and ‘Feel Welcome’. We are seeking a highly motivated casual kitchen attendant to join our experienced and professional team.

The role is responsible for:

• General cleaning duties within the kitchen, food preparation areas and scullery,
• General pantry duties and maintain cleanliness of pantry, fridges and freezers,
• Assist in the basic preparation of food as directed,
• You will be required to operate an industrial dishwashing machine,
• Ensuring the safe handling of associated cleaning chemicals,
• Ensure all kitchens are kept clean and tidy according to current Health & Hygiene regulations,
• Ensure each outlet is supplied with sanitised clean and dry operational equipment,
• Ensure all operating equipment, crockery, cutlery & glassware is hygienically and safely stored,
• Ensure garbage is collected and disposed of correctly from all kitchen areas each shift.

The successful applicant will be:

• Available to work a variety of shifts including early mornings, late nights and weekends,

• Have the ability to obtain a federal police clearance in order to work in the restricted areas associated with the airport,

• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment and an understanding of food safety requirements is desirable.
