Kitchen Assistant
Reporting directly to the Group Procurement & Facilities Manager you will be responsible for the preparation of lunch for the team at Head Office and effectively maintain the kitchen and break areas throughout the office on a daily basis.
You will work in close partnership and perform all duties with another Kitchen Assistant.
The hours for this position are:
Monday-Friday 7:30am-3pm (30 min lunch break)
Your day-to-day will include:
- Timely preparation of daily lunch requirements for all team members at Head Office
- Sourcing of all amenities (eg. tea, coffee, soft drinks)
- Maintain all office kitchens/break out areas including cleaning of cutlery, crockery, stacking and empting dishwashers and cleaning surfaces
- Ordering of food in line with the approved budget
- Provide input regarding suitable lunch ideas and identified cost efficiencies in relation to lunch preparations
- Ensuring stocks of non-consumables (paper towel, cleaning equipment etc.) are maintained
- Unpack fruit and vegetable, milk and bread weekly deliveries
- Provide a professional service to all Head Office team members and external team members
Our successful candidate will have:
- Proven kitchen and food handling experience
- Understanding of OH&S and food hygiene practices
- Great customer service and communication skills
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- A positive and proactive approach
- Experience with basic computer software i.e word, excel and outlook
