About the Role:

As a technician support you will assist in most day to day activities of the IT Services department. You will be required to take part in project work from time to time as required by the business. You will be required to participate in the on-call roster. As a senior technician, you will be required to document and mentor others to facilitate handover of tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking across Windows, Apple, and mobile operating systems
  • Manage service ticketing systems
  • Coordinate hands-on and remote technical support
  • Maintain, and develop Microsoft Exchange systems and infrastructure
  • Manage server and network equipment
  • Manage and coordinate Peter Stevens Group IT systems and solutions
  • Instigate and assist the development and implementation of tools to better manage sales, suppliers, customers and stock
  • Allocate calls to service technicians as required and reply to all messages communicated by technicians
  • Ensure all incoming emails are actioned and responded to in the most efficient manner
  • Regularly maintain service technician details
  • Regularly maintain system username and password details in password database
  • Perform advanced diagnostics Windows Servers and services, including Active Directory, Exchange, DFS, SQL, IIS, RDS and application services
  • Register/setup website domains/hosting services
  • Work on AS400 and infrastructure projects
  • Infrastructure maintenance and upgrades
  • Develop internal technical documentation, reports, tips, tricks and procedures
  • Participation in on-call roster

You will have:

  • Experience using AS400 System or a similar system
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Sound analytical and problem solving skills
  • A high-level understanding of all facets of troubleshooting in an IT environment
  • Desktop support level I experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Windows experience
  • Knowledge of Imaging and backup software
  • Strong Network troubleshooting and understanding of Active Directory
  • Proficient in developing technical documentation
  • IT certifications
  • Experience in VMWare/VDI, Android, IPhone, and Avaya Phone Support
  • Asset Tracking/Inventory Management
  • At least three years' experience in a similar role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Energetic
  • Passionate about IT
  • Experience in an environment using tickets to resolve issues
  • Scripting/programming expertise is a plus, but not required
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn
