Hays Education is a leading specialist education recruiter for schools, childcare centres, colleges and universities across Victoria. We supply casual relief workers to a large range of quality centres including private and council services. Our clients require numerous experienced and passionate Childcare Cooks to work at their centres in areas such as Hume, Wyndham, Melton and many more!

Your new role

As an experienced Childcare Cook you will be preparing and serving healthy and nutritious food to children and staff in an Early Education centre. We expect you to be reliable and confident in your abilities. You will be required to work with little guidance, and quickly build rapport with children, staff and parents. You will be offered work on an on-call basis, however with a high demand it is likely that you will be offered multiple shifts per week.

What you'll need to succeed

• You will need to hold a Food Handlers Certificate, or Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
• Experience working as a cook in a childcare centre or aged care facility
• Working with Children's Check
• Police check (issued within the last 6 months)
• Current first aid accreditation including CPR & Anaphylaxis
• Full working rights in Australia
