Damorange Refrigerated Transport (DRT) is a family owned and operated Transport Company with its head office located in Werribee South, and depots located throughout Australia. We specialise in the transportation and storage of cold produce.

Due to business growth we now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced general hand/forklift driver to join our team.

About the Role

As a general hand/forklift driver, your role will see you undertake general yard duties and the operation of a forklift.

Your duties will include (but not limited to):
Participate in unloading and loading of vehicles in a safe and efficient manner

General yard duties

Daily Prestart checks on plant and equipment

Completing and ensuring all required paperwork is collected, completed and handed in on time

Develop and maintain good relationships with all staff and stakeholders

Complying with all other DRT policies and procedures

Help DRT in achieving their safety & compliance goals in areas you have direct responsibility and adhering to all relevant WH&S legislation, policy and procedural requirements.

(Being able to work rotating weekends and overtime is a must)

To be successful in this role, you will have:
A current forklift licence (with minimum 2 years experience)

Experience driving forklifts and loading/unloading of trucks

Experience in produce/road transport environment (an advantage)

Good communication skills and work ethic

You will be required to meet DRT's pre-employment criteria which will include, but not be limited to a full medical with a drug and alcohol test.
