A very successful and long established business needs a Production Manager with strong people skills to manage manufacturing section. They need someone that can bring the best out of the team. They are looking for an experienced production manager from the manufacturing sector preferably heavy manufacturing to fill this newly created position.

They have a very modern business & workshop which consist of the latest manufacturing technology, and for the last few years they have been growing and now its time to go the next step and introduce a manufacturing/production manager with Lean background.

Reporting to the management team and being part of your position will be to improve and get the best out of your team. You will be results driven and have excellent skills in scheduling and KPI's.

Your role will be to oversee all aspects of Production, Fabrication, Programming & Scheduling departments whilst maintaining high standards in quality, housekeeping and on-time delivery. You will ensure efficient utilisation of time, labour, machinery / equipment and raw materials, whilst enforcing the Quality System.

You will also ensure Sales, Delivery and Quality KPI’s are achieved whilst maintaining a safe and harmonious work environment.

To apply you must have:

• Degree, diploma or trade qualifications.
• Experience as a production manager
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing
• Metals / fabrication industry ideal
• Excellent people skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
