Our client has over 50 years of experience in rubber manufacturing and are the market leaders of rubber products and customized solutions to their customers.

They currently seek enthusiastic and self-motivated Machine Operator to join their growing team.

To be considered for the role you will need to have the following experience:

•          Manufacturing industry experience, preferably rubber

•          Machine Operation

•          Press Operating

•          Knife handing

•          Cutting and Grinding (Cleaning) of materials

•          Painting of product

•          Ability to read technical drawings

The ideal candidate will also have the following attributes;

•          A mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate both hand and power tools

•          Physically fit and healthy, manual handing of equipment and Product (20kg)

•          A good eye for detail

•          An ability to multi task

•          Problem solving skills.

•          Ability to work unsupervised

•          Be a team player and have good communication skills

•          Reliability

•          Be flexible to work overtime

•          Proactive approach to safety rules and procedures

•          Current Driver’s license

•          Good presentation

Duties will include:

•          Milling of product (Rubber)

•          Binding and distribution

•          Knife handling

•          Measuring and cutting

•          Understanding and interpreting job sheets/shop drawings

•          Preparing and set up of product and related tooling

•          Cleaning and trimming of parts

•          Manual lifting and handling

•          Quality assurance of product and machinery

•          Timekeeping

•          General housekeeping duties
