ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are excited to announce the opening of our new multistorey acute services building at Werribee Mercy Hospital. We are seeking qualified, motivated Patient Services Assistants to join our team.

  • Located at Werribee Mercy (Public) Hospital
  • Permanent and casual positions
  • Option for full time or part time
  • Day shifts, afternoon shifts, weekends and night shifts available
  • Busy, fast paced environment
  • Provide patient centric cleaning duties, food and beverage services, transportation of patients and patient support

ABOUT YOU:

  • Health Services Assistant Certificate III or equivalent or working towards completing is essential
  • Current Food Handling certificate
  • Excellent customer service skills and have a passion for attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to show initiative and work within a team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to understand Patients’ diet codes
  • A commitment to policies and procedures in order to maintain a safe and healthy environment for patients, staff and members of the public

Werribee Mercy Hospital is a General Public Hospital located in the rapidly growing western suburbs of Melbourne. Our services include surgical, medical, maternity, newborn, renal dialysis, emergency, mental health, rehabilitation, aged and palliative care. The hospital is currently undergoing significant expansion with a number of exciting capital projects currently underway, including an $85 million State Government funded redevelopment that will deliver a new critical care unit and take the total number of beds to 298.
