| Work Type:Monday-Friday 8am till 3.00pmWe are looking for an experienced Laundress with a solid background in laundry, pressing and mending of clothing. Must have great organisational skills, an eye for detail and time management.This position would suit someone with previous experience either working in a hotel laundry environment or private house.General duties will includeWash, press and mend clothing items for family and return such items to their respective areas, ensuring the laundry and surroundings are maintained to the highest level of cleanliness, by regular vacuuming and surface cleaning, mopping etc.Ensure a regular level of communication is delivered with all stakeholders.Manage the effective co-ordination of laundry and dry cleaning of clothes, table linen, towels and bed linen, checking the clothes received from outside suppliers to make sure that they are presentable. Ensure The Laundry remains clean and tidy and free of lint and dust.Ensure all equipment is maintained on a daily basis.Ensure that there are sufficient table cloths for meals and functions by consulting with the House Manager each week about requirements. If there are insufficient supplies, advise the House Manager and seek direction.Ensure the return of all linen to the right areas and ensure stock levels are maintained and reported to the House Manager.Wash and mend all household linen (excluding table linen but including bed linen, bath towels, tea towels etc) and store correctly and advise the house manager.Maintain the stock levels of laundry cleaning chemicals and miscellaneous items that need to be purchased.Comply with safety policies and procedures as prescribed, whilst maintaining the laundry area to a clean standard and ensure OHS&W policies are adhered to.
