We are seeking a lovely, kind gentle live in nanny to become a special part of our family.

We are moving back to the lovely Dandenong Ranges (Belgrave) in May and are very happy to be transitioning back to this beautiful area.

I have a young son (2 yo) who currently attends day care two- three days a week and has a nanny at home 2 days a week, whilst I work essentially full time.

In our new home , we plan to transition into having a live in nanny as I prepare to have second baby. We are fortunate to have a separate self contained unit/nanny flat for our live in nanny to reside in with a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, separate bedroom and living room with a private deck overlooking the pristine Dandenong ranges and with the sound of puffing billy chugging nearby. Its a total oasis. Belgrave is 40 mins from the city, is on the trainline (we are 3 mins to the station) and is a bustling village with cinema, vibrant cafes and a lovely local community. If you like nature, there are tonnes of beautiful forests to explore, waterfalls, quaint mountain villages and also lyrebird colonies. So its a really beautiful lifestyle here.

We are looking for a young and energetic person to join our family to primarily look after our son about 4 days a week plus one or two evening(s) potentially and to help me with keeping our house humming (shopping, cooking, cleaning etc). I am a single mum, devoted to my family but also have a career in aid work that I am passionate about and have managed to juggle pretty well thus far. But having two will be a new level of juggling. So having a live in nanny who can be my right hand woman to keep our family buzzing will be an essential element. This will not just be a job, but we are looking for someone who will really love being with us and form meaningful relationships with Mali and with myself.

I am open to negotiating the arrangement in terms of hours to fit into your life if you have other commitments too, but would require a 40 hour contribution each week of your time and preferably spread over four/five days/evenings. Mali will be attending a day care on one day during the week but some cleaning/house work on this day would be needed. Hours can be flexible to work for everyone as we move into a new schedule. You would have free rent of the private furnished unit, free utilities including unlimited wifi, meals when you are working would be covered by us (i.e. four/five dinners and lunches a week (which you would help cook but we would supply food and you could help yourself to and eat with us or in your own company) and breakfast supplies for you to self cater according to your preferences. We would also welcome couples to live here especially if your partner is also willing to contribute something to the property (negotiable arrangement). We would also provide you with a weekly salary which is negotiable but would be approximately in line with au pair stipends factoring in the provision of accomodation and board.
