An opportunity has arisen for a Materials Handler to take responsibility for shipping, receiving, storage and order fulfilment services for finished goods, inventory, materials, supplies, parts and equipment at the assigned facility(s) in a safe and efficient manner.

Your key responsibilities will incorporate:

• Working in a warehouse environment under various temperatures including room temperature, cold-room, and/or freezer-room
• Unloading vehicles, opening packages and removing contents
• Labelling goods with details of storage location
• Picking goods for customer orders
• Packing and sealing boxes
• Operating equipment in a safe manner
• Housekeeping, all work areas to be kept clean and tidy.
• Checking goods for damages and discrepancies
• Operating specialised equipment, such as manually and electronically guided order pickers, and checking goods off picking list in a safe manner
• Receiving incoming goods, checking for damage and for discrepancies between goods and invoices
• Operating computers to obtain details of location and quantity of items in stock
• Assisting with regular stocktakes

To be considered for this position you will demonstrate the following capabilities:

• Previous experience in a warehousing environment
• Experience operating powered equipment at various heights
• Previous experience using ERPs
• Intermediate computer skills
• Strong communication skills
• Experience with Dangerous Goods would be advantageous
