Your Role

We currently have an amazing opportunity for a Drafting Administrator to join our friendly, professional and collaborative Drafting team. This is a pivotal role where you will support and manage the drafting workflow to ensure the team targets are met and customer’s files are moving to ensure the best customer experience.

Based in South West Sydney and reporting to the drafting manager, you will ideally have completed or near completed your Drafting qualification. This is a full-time role where you will work Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm and is a great entry role, where you can learn and grow from the best in the business.

Your Typical Day

  • External consultants – maintain communication and workflow – answer all queries - upload and download work - Check compliance issues
  • Checking on master façade plug-ins availability before job is assigned
  • In consultation with the Drafting Manager, allocate - prioritise drafting jobs and meet set timeframes
  • New sittings process – checklists, allocation sheets and contours
  • Review and answer enquiries on ETA’s from other departments
  • Provide manager with detailed reports, recording outstanding jobs and email updates weekly
  • Collect timesheets and remaining jobs from Draftsperson and updating relevant checklists
  • Maintain Business Craft for all completed jobs
  • Review requests and clarify unclear or return non-drafting jobs
  • Recommend, develop and maintain Drafting processes and improvements
  • Managing and resolving of issues and complaints (internal or external) prior to escalation to the Team Leader
  • Ensure assigned targets and workflow allocations are being met according to business requirements
  • Provide technical support with architectural designs with other departments
  • Adhoc duties as required

Your skills and experience

  • Diploma of Architectural Drafting or near completion
  • Knowledge of residential building industry
  • Understanding of BCA, Australian Standards, CDC and Council’s Development Control Plan requirements
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills,
  • Time management, able to prioritise, multi-task and be organised
  • Flexible and positive attitude
  • Desire to learn and be adaptable to change.
